The Grasslands Towers of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth are part of one of the many activities with which we will be able to enrich Chadley’s dossiers starting from Chapter 2. From the moment you activate them, their location is marked with the icon on the game map.
Once activated, towers reveal and fix surrounding points of interest on the map. Putting these contraptions back into operation is very useful because it significantly facilitates the exploration of the macro-regions of the game.

In addition, the more we activate them during our adventure, the more Chadley’s skills will grow, allowing him to expand his research and build a communication network not controlled by Shinra. All information will be collected in the World Intel.
While the towers reveal places worth exploring, they don’t color areas of the map that haven’t yet been visited in person. Grasslands Towers
Activation Intel 1 – Bill’s Ranch Tower
While we wait for our chocobo to be ready during Chapter 2, we will have the chance to take a little break. At this point, we can leave the barn to activate an interlude and find an old acquaintance from Final Fantasy VII Remake: Chadley. Let’s respond to him as we prefer, based on the reaction we want to arouse (there are no repercussions).

Activating the tower will earn us 10 Data points and 5 Party EXP and will allow us to capture the following information:

Activation Intel 2 – Eastern Seaboard Tower

Leaving Bill’s Ranch, we take the path on our left and follow it straight ahead, proceeding towards the windmills and passing the rocks behind them.


We will thus arrive near a precipice. The coast can be reached by descending via some handholds on rocky ledges near the position of the tower, marked on the map.


Let’s go to the indicated point and prepare to give battle to 3 Grasslands Wolfs. After defeating them, we press the switch to activate the tower and receive 10 Data points and 5 Party EXP.

Before leaving, let’s climb to the top of the tower with the help of the ladders to destroy some Shinra Supply Crates.

Activation Intel 3 – Swamplands Tower

This tower stands not far from where we captured the Chocobo. Let’s go to that area with the fast travel and let’s follow the icon on the map.

Let’s approach the tower and defeat the 2 Levrikons nearby, so we pull the switch at the base of it to activate it.

In return, we will get 10 Data Points and 5 Party EXP. The recordings will reveal the following data:
- Expedition Intel 2
- Expedition Intel 3
- Divine Intel 2
- Fiend Intel 3
Before leaving, let’s climb to the top of the tower with the help of the ladders to destroy some Shinra Supply Crates.

Activation Intel 4 – Plains Tower

To get to this tower easily, we use fast travel and choose to start from Oliver’s Farm. We add a marker on the tower icon and let it guide us towards it, passing under the destroyed aqueduct.


Let’s defeat the Grasslands Wolf and the 2 Orcs that guard the tower, then we climb to the top and activate it to make it functional again.


By doing so, we will reveal new points of interest on the map and get 10 Data Points and 5 Party EXP. The recordings will reveal the following data:
- Expedition Intel 4
- Fiend Intel 4
Before leaving, let’s climb up the ladder around the corner to destroy some more Shinra Supply Crates.

Activation Intel 5 – Kalm Outskirts Tower

Let’s take the fast move to Kalm . Let’s turn around and take the paved road away from the city. When the path becomes bumpy, let’s look to our right to spot the tower.


Let’s get closer to the tower and get rid of the 3 Orcs that are monitoring it, so we activate the switch at the base of it to activate it.


In return, we will get 10 Data Points and 5 Party EXP. The recordings will reveal the following data:
- Expedition Intel 5
- Fiend Intel 5
Before leaving, let’s climb to the top of the tower with the help of the ladders to destroy some Shinra Supply Crates.

Activation Intel 6 – Wastelands Tower

Let’s take the fast travel to Kalm . Let’s turn around and take the paved road away from the city. When the path becomes bumpy, let’s look to our left and take the path that goes down.


We follow the entire path, continuing straight until it forks near a giant pipe that sinks into the ground. Here, we climb to the left to locate the tower.


When we spot it, let’s get closer, let’s get rid of the Grassland Wolf and of the Levrikon. Then we climb two ladders and we activate the tower with the switch to conquer 10 Data Points and 5 Party EXP.


The recordings will reveal the following data:

Before leaving, we climb up the ladders again to destroy some Shinra Supply Crates.
